On Sunday the radio station broadcast a 12-hour programme marathon. This included a joint broadcast with Ayr Hospital Radio Service, believed to be the first such link-up between hospitals at opposite ends of the country.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Rhyl, Cllr Dave Thomas, and Vale of Clwyd AM Ann Jones, the hospital radio's honorary president, called in to draw out the winning tickets for the station's annual draw, helping bring in funds to keep the charitable organisation going.
Station presenter Brenda Jones said: "Dorothy Thomas, chairman, and Tony Mannix, outside broadcasting manager, who have organised the draw, did extremely well selling 3,000 tickets with the help of other members of the radio service over the past weeks.
"People who bought the tickets were from all over the area of North Wales and the Wirral and the top prize of £300 cash was won by a person in Liverpool."
Earlier in the week, hospital radio representatives were invited by Ann Jones to visit the Welsh Assembly buildings, when they sat in for the Assembly's question time.
