The Knockout Games

 

12 teams of 8 contenders was completing The Ultimate Knockout which is new for 2008. The knockout event includes the biggest inflatables, the largest pools of water, a giant foam machine and hilarious character costumes. The crowds had a chance to choose their favourite team and they cheered them on.

  

Show Events Arena

 

The arena events was compared by Ruth Williams with the assistance of DJ's Tony Mannix, Andy Hayes, Ceri Jones & Mike Fletcher from Glan Clwyd Hospital Radio. Ruth is a very interesting storyteller, singer and musician.

 

There was various events and shows during the day including

 

Buckley Girls Gymnastics,

 

 

Ferret Racing,

 

Dawnsyr Gwerin/Folk Dancing

 

also Deeside Silver Band, Pen y Bryn Falconry, local Morris Dancers and Wagtail Sniffer Dogs.

 

The fairground activities included The Jolly Jungle Ball Park Wagon, large slide, bouncy castle, trampoline, Spin The Wheel and Carousel for the younger children.

The Army Assult Course & Climbing Wall was very popular with many visiors dared the challange and had a go. It was supervised by the TA who made it look easy.

 

There was many side stall attractions with pleanty of food and drink served around the area.

 

On behalf of the Hospital radio we would like to thank Deeside Rotary Club for their hospitality and warm welcome we had. Despite the weather hope that all had a fun filled day.
